KU debaters Quaram Robinson and Will Katz entered the National Debate Tournament in Wichita well prepared for the grueling test that lay ahead. Thirteen debate rounds later, they left as national champions. In order to win the championship, Robinson and Katz participated in eight preliminary debates during a span of three days before qualifying for a single elimination tournament involving 29 of the top debate teams in the country.
