Pregnancy and birth may be universal, but each culture celebrates pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period in its own way. 🗺️ In our Pregnancy Milestones Around the World series, we’ll be looking at how different cultures celebrate pregnancy and birth. Let’s start with Latin America: 🍼 La Cuarentena: In several Latin American cultures, the postpartum period is a sacred time for birthing people. This is shown in 40 days of rest for the birthing person and baby known as la cuarentena. To let
