Erice Sicily. A medieval town with roots going back to the the first millennium before Christ. The village is in the western part of the island atop Mount Erice. The view is of Trapani. At different times the Elymians, Phoenicians, Greeks, and Romans all worshipped Aphrodite from atop of what was then known as Mount Eryx.
