Today, 46 years ago, the Corps lost a legend, Lt. Gen. Lewis B. "Chesty" Puller. Chesty, the most decorated Marine in the history of the Corps, served for 37 years. He led Marines during some of the Corps' biggest moments in history such as the Guadalcanal Campaign, the Battle of Peleliu and the Battle of Chosin Reservoir.
